Universal’s Classic Monsters: Who Played Who? Poster

I've always been a fan of the classic horror monsters from Universal Studios, but its sometimes hard remembering what actor played in what movie. I put together this infographic poster to act as a quick reference to help eliminate that confusion.

The project started out as just the bottom half of the poster. I was putting together a reference table for all the actors who played a monster role or appeared in several of the films. Even at this stage, I was planning on posting the simple graphic online. But then the Venn diagram idea came about, and that's when I decided that I wanted to add some graphic design to poster. I found high-res images of each monster from its first film appearance, and created the color-coding system for each monster. The colors, I decided, would help tie together the two parts of the poster by having the name in the Venn diagram matching the letter in the reference table. Those letters in the reference table were initially just colored dots, but realizing that colorblind people would have difficulty, I decided to use a letter instead.
